About ME

I am happy to be chosen as your cat sitter, what could be better then visiting and taking care of cats!  I have worked with animals my entire life. I first started as a wildlife rehabilitator, then I worked as a zoo keeper for more than 20 years. I worked at the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, the Santa Barbara Zoo and here in Seattle at the Woodland Park Zoo, where I was the lead keeper of the African Savanna. I also lived and worked in South Africa for 3 years. I volunteered for a carnivore research project in Kruger Park and also worked at the National Zoo in Pretoria. After retiring from the zoo keeper field I starting cat sitting with Diane in 2012. Diane started Cat-sit.com but has a new job now. I love cats and have three of my own, Henry, Todd and Toby.  My other passion in life is art. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. I volunteered as a studio monitor at Gage Academy of Art for many years. Below are some cat drawings and paintings that I did.  I've been a resident of the Madison Park area since 2005. I recently bought an electric car because I drive a lot, visiting many cats. I wanted Cat-sit.com to be an environmentally friendly business.
